Although an official Bank Holiday (as defined on the government's website), Lenmark Construction insisted on operating noisy heavy equipment during Queen Elizabeth II funeral on the 19th September 2022, despite planning permission for the site stating that 'no construction work in connection with the development shall take place on any Sunday or Bank Holiday. When I spoke to Barrie Rossiter, Construction Director, about them working on a Bank Holiday, he insisted that the day was not an official Bank Holiday, as such he was able to work on the site with his crew.
